MTR Defense® DR1 "Patrol" Rifle

The MTR Defense® DR1 "Patrol" Rifle is designed to ease the operation of the AR15 platform. This build comes standard with both right and left hand bolt release and safety selector. Both right-handed and left-handed shooters will appreciate these ambidextrous functions. They will allow the shooter to operate the bolt catch and safety selector without having to move or switch hands from the rifle’s grip. We’ve included an ambidextrous charging handle as well on the upper receiver.  A 15" Samson Mfg  SXS-LW-15 light weight hand-guard made for MTR Defense - features an M-LOK attachment for lighter weight. It surrounds a 16" WLA Government Profile barrel, and our mid-length gas system reduces recoil for greater accuracy and trigger response. The fire control group is WLA and every rifle is stand tested to insure smooth trigger reset. The ergonomic pistol grip and commercial butt stock compliment not only the look, but the feel and function. We torque everything to specs and hand stake the buffer tube castle nut ensuring it doesn’t walk under normal operating conditions.
